School Visits Bullswool Farm Park is becoming one of the region's most popular educational venues! The farm is rich in practical learning experiences, and simple, hands-on rural fun. We cater for all age groups; from pre-schoolers to tertiary students, school holiday programmes, ESL and special needs groups. Knowing how to interact with animals is a life skill that not all Kiwi kids are taught… We believe that to be safe around animals requires a mixture of confidence, respect and calm. These things can only develop with well-managed contact and education. At Bullswool Farm Park children can get close to our animals, and have genuine contact with them, while still being safe. Our objective with our Schools Fundraising Scheme is to support local schools' fundraising efforts in a way that is easy, fun, and takes very little time or effort for PTAs to organise. read more
Contact is on their own terms. Children can get as close to the animals as they wish and not have frightening encounters that they have no control over.
Feeder scoops enable young children to feed all the animals without any chance of being accidentally bitten.
We only have friendly animals that enjoy contact with children.
We aim to make the children's experience as hands-on as possible.
The smallest of children can feed all of our animals.
